Why do you ride fixed?
I like speed and the thrill of not being able to coast
How’d you get introduced to fixed riding?
I wanted a challenge and speed; I sought out other like minded people and I’ve been hooked ever since.
Why do you wanna go to Austin?
To prove to myself that long distance on a fixed isn’t crazy and so I have transportation while I’m there. Austin’s also a great city for riding.
Do you have any distance riding experience?
Not really
How are you preparing for the ride?
Rollers, watching Eddy Merckx’s 1974 Giro de Italia, performance enhancing drugs
Where’s your favorite place in town to go ride? In the world?
I love to ride East Dallas and Oak Cliff; if I could ride anywhere in the world, I’d like to take my bike across the US and Europe. I still haven’t ridden NY or SF, so that’d be nice too.

What’s the stupidest/most embarrassing thing you’ve done on your bike?
Drunkenly broke my leg on a BMX. I suck at BMX.
